I had an almost similar problem with SSD in mine m turns out it was plugged in correctly once i figured out what was going and that it wasn’t really plugging when it felt like it was it was PITA to actually get it install right. Hi, Have bought the new SSD from Samsung in order to speed up my Dell m, but unfortunately the bios doesn’t recognize the SSD have tried on 2 differentt m – same thing 1m330 who have tried with succes or have done a workaround or have any suggestion on what to do?

I have the dsll updates on everything from Dell m bios A15 etc. I have to spend some time googling and hunting for the drivers I did what u said and it booted up fine. Dave on Fine Rotation of objects in…. But since you post was from a couple years ago and my system is slightly different form the M, I’m not sure if I should use exactly the same driver.

Last edited by kent; at I tried install it in a Packard Bell just to see if the bios would recognize it – and it did. Hence I want to revert to windows XP.

I do – It’s really annoing: The guy who typed these instructions up is a friggin genius. So I did all the usual chkdsk options, and installed all the latest patches and took it back to the M … blue screen Stop 7b.

Yes, my password is: The machine was running Windows 7 so I was hoping the the recovery options will solve it all but no joy.
